WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?
Men who are wise (in their own eyes) often feel too smart
to believe in God. Even some, so called, Bible believers
think themselves too wise to believe the entire Bible and
must explain away things they feel are unbelievable.
Things like: the creation, hell and the devil, Christ's
resurrection, the flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, etc.
(A Bible believer with no belief in the Bible? Hmm.)
What does the Bible say?
Romans 1:21-22 "Because although they knew God, they
did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became
futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were
darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools."
1 Corinthians 1:20, 21, 25 "Where is the wise? Where
is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not
God made the foolish the wisdom of this world? For since,
in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know
God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message
preached to save those who believe, (25) Because the foolishness
of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger
than men."
Colossians 2:8 "Beware lest anyone cheat you through
philosophy and empty deceit, according to the basic principles
of the world, and not according to Christ."
Always remember to look at what the Bible actually says,
for yourself, not what others "think" it does or does not say.
